Pamukkale

This is Pamukkale, a very white country. It is located in Turkey, in the inner part of the Aegean region.

Pamukkale was named from the greek god Hierapolis.

Pamukkale means "cotton castle" because cotton is white and Pamukkale is mostly white and sometimes people call it the white city. Pamukkale’s terrace is made of travertine, a sedimentary rock and if you thought that it was snow, you were wrong.

Kapadokiya / Cappadocia

Turkish: Kapadokiya English: Cappadocia

I highly recommend, if you visit Turkey, you should go to Cappadocia. It is beautiful!

There are hot air balloon rides, quad bikes rental and good places for hiking. If you like to go mountain biking, there are rentals for you.

It is a great place but this is only one of the places in Turkey of course there are loads more cities and things to do in Turkey.

What to eat in Turkey

If you have a holiday in Turkey, then I recommend you try Turkish delight because it is one of Turkey’s most popular sweets; it tastes nice and it has a sweet flavour.

Don't worry if you don't know where to find it, it's everywhere! There are quite a few different flavours of Turkish delight, you can have it with nuts in or without.

All about pide

Pide is one of the most famous foods in Turkey and is made of crunchy bread, with cheese or meat, or without either.
It is tasty and about the size of a keyboard. Sometimes pide might be called Turkish pizza.

There are three types of pide, there is cheese pide, goat pide or cow pide. Pide comes from Trabzon and the best pide that they sell in all Turkey is “pide evesi.” Pide can only been sold in Turkey.

Maiden's Tower

On the far right you can see Maiden's Tower, or Kiz Kulesi. It was here where James Bond saved Istanbul from destruction in The World Is Not Enough.

It's on the list of places to visit, although according to colleagues it isn't that interesting in itself, except I guess good views of either side of the Bosphorus. It is, as you can see to the left, only a hundred metres or so off the Asian shore.

A tower has stood on the site since Byzantine times, initially as a customs station for ships from the Black Sea, and then as lighthouse, quarantine station, and watchtower. It has apparently been rebuilt umpteen times, having been destroyed by earthquakes and fires.
